These terms govern the use of CERTIVA, the invoice and receipt certification platform operated for Directorate General of Taxation. CERTIVA, a NovaGov Africa product.
Purpose
CERTIVA enables taxpayers to issue certified invoices and receipts that anyone can verify, and to consult the documents issued.
Account and access
The account is opened with the company's tax identifier, checked with the tax authority. The representative warrants that the information provided is accurate and keeps their sign-in means confidential. Two-step verification is mandatory for the roles that require it.
Service
Each certified document receives a certification number and a verification QR code. A certified document can no longer be modified: it is corrected by a cancellation or a credit note, as provided by the regulations.
Fees and prepaid account
Certification is charged according to the published price list, by debiting the company's prepaid account. The balance and the history of movements can be viewed at any time.
User obligations
Users undertake to issue truthful documents that comply with tax regulations, and not to harm the security or availability of the platform.
Liability
The company remains solely responsible for the content of the documents it issues. The platform takes the necessary measures to ensure the availability and integrity of the service.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of the tax authority's country. Any new version is published on this page with its version number; acceptance is recorded with that number.
